For the exhibition, Heiges has created a new, site reponsive work, Shelving Unit No. 1. The piece consists of a custom made shelving unit partially covered with one of Heiges’ recent paintings on paper. Installed in the study of a Carroll Gardens apartment, the piece is a domestic monolith that considers painting, language and the library.
